Good day! Now, let's discuss about Volcanoes. First, what is a volcano?

According to Wikipedia, volcano is a mountain or hill, typically conical, having a crater or vent through which lava, rock fragments,hot vapor, and gas are being or have been erupted from the earth's crust.Volcano is an opening on the surface of the earth. Most volcanoes are found in the Pacific Ring of fire. Also according the Geoscience Australia, volcano is a vent or chimney which transfers molten rock known as magma from depth to the Earth's surface. Volcanoes can be also defined as the opening in the earth's crust that takes away lava, pyroclasts and gasses during volcanic eruption

MAGMA

NOTE: Don't be confused because MAGMA is composed of molten rock and is stored in the earth's crust. LAVA is MAGMA that reaches our planet's surface

SUMMIT

||â–¶ there is an opening in which may either be a crater or a caldera

FLANK

||â–¶ it is called as the side of the volcano

CRATER

||â–¶ the bowl-shaped depression around the orifice of a volcano. It is also created after an eruption blows the top off the volcano.

MAGMA CHAMBER

||â–¶ the underground space usually deep below the earth's surface occupied by magma that may ascend from it to or toward the surface

VENT

||â–¶ opening at the top of the volcano

CONDUIT

||â–¶ is the pipe or vent at the heart of a volcano where material wells up from beneath the surface.

THROAT
